Reflection

Using iPad and iMovie, I created a video about my favorite things, because I thought that all my pets (one of my favorite things) where interesting because they all have different personalities. They also have different fur colors and favorite activates. For example, my rabbit Cookie, he likes to sit and cuddle with me, while my rabbit Nightshade likes to try and explore instead of sitting with me.

During this process, I learned that one there is an app called iMovie where you can make your own movie, how to make it so the images I looked up for my video had a creative commons license, and how to add sound effects, images and music to my movie using iMovie. I also worked hard to think of ideas for the video and making my ideas apart of the video (or at least some of them). I also made sure that the images that I looked up looked like the specific pet I was searching for to make the video about my pets.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because no one else's project/video matches mine perfectly or at all. It also matches Creative Communicator because it was my idea and no one else. It also follows this because I worked hard to make it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was sometimes it was hard to find an image that looked like one of my pets. I was able to do it by looking through and being a little more descriptive when I looked them up. I also Worried a little bit about what order to put them in. Another problem I ran into was finding a decent song in my opinion, as I couldn't find any I liked.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change maybe the music, and if I could find better images maybe the images too. The reason why I would change it is because I feel some of the images don't look exactly like the images I wanted, and the music options in my opinion weren't that great. I also think I could have done better on the titles and voice recordings. So, if given the change I would do it again.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing.  My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.  It connects because it uses Digital Media.

My project connects to careers in videographer because this deals with helping make videos. I made a video and that's something they help do. It also connects because it like I already said they make videos, and they also have to come up with ideas for the video.
