Using a laptop and tools, I created a slideshow of the different parts of a laptop because i like taking things apart.
During this process, I learned 9 different parts of a laptop.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I chose to take apart a laptop.
A challenge I overcame on this project was identifying the parts of the computer. I was able to do it by looking back on my 7th grade STEM project and background knowledge.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what i took apart. The reason why I would change it is because I want to take apart other things.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Computer Engineering (making computers for companies).
