Using stopmotion, I created a chess game because I like chess and it was my first time using stopmotion.
During this process, I learned how to make a stopmotion and how to make it so things move without your hand being in it.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Digitial Citizen because we used the Imovie app and the stopmotion app.
A challenge I overcame on this project was how much pictures it took and trying not to put Keagen in checkmate as soon as possible. I was able to do it by trying to make some easy moves and away from the king much as possible.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the angle. The reason why I would change it is because it had light glair on it and you couldnt really see the chess peaces toards the end.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Digital Multimedia CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in animator because there is a lot of editing and you have to take a lot of pictures.
