7P7 Circuit Playground Express

Using Circuit Playground Express, I created a light show because I wanted to have it look like a firework. Also, I thought it would be cool to make codes with a lot of lights flashing and making it cool. Another thing why I made it is because I wanted to make a lot of codes out of it to make it look cool and would do patterns.

During this process, I learned how to make codes with the Circuit Playground Express. I also learned how to get the codes to get put together and how to make them in patterns. I learned how to make a light show and try to make it look like a firework.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because generating ideas and using digital tools. Also, you took risks in messing things up when you didn't know what it was until you used it.

A challenge I overcame on this project was trying new things even if I didn't know what it would do. I was able to do it by putting the things on my project to see what they would do and how they would work. Also I overcame this fear by putting it with my project and seeing if it would match with my project.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the lights and make them longer to make them look more cool and more interesting. The reason why I would change it is because it doesn't have much of different things because it most of the patterns of the same thing. also, I would like to make it more flashy and brighter than how it is.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  

My project connects to careers in software engineering because we designed codes and made codes to work the Circuit Playground Express. Also, we used tools for making our project and used to tools to help us make are projects. Also, we did tests on how to work the codes and see how they would work on our project.
