Day 1: We worked on our planning questions and 10 good ideas.
Day 2: We looked at the Makey Makey app to see what we could create and how we could do it.
Day 3: We watched videos on the Makey Makey website to see how to wire it.
Day 4: We experimented with the wiring and the Makey Makey to see if/how everything worked.
Day 5: We connected all the wires to the Makey Makey and played the Snake game with the controler and came to the conclusion that it does in fact work.
This is the picture of the wiring on the Makey Makey!
The lovely video of our controler in action playing the Snake game.
Using a Makey Makey and the wires I was provided with, I created a basic yet unique controler for the Snake game because throughout this process my partner and I were able to express our love and passion for tecnolagy, the Snake game, and of course the Makey Makey. During this process, I learned that to wire stuff and know how it works you have to get a little push in the right direction. If you don't then its practically imposible to get anything done or do anything right. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because during this process my partener and I decided what to make and how to make it, and if there was a problem we found a solution. A challenge I overcame on this project was finding out where to put wires and how everything would work. I was able to do it by asking for help and finding the solution to our problem after we watched some videos on how to do everything (which is what the person suggested). Given a chance to do this again, I would change the fact that we didn't use play-doh. The reason why I would change it is because I think it would have been really fun to use play-doh in this project because it was one of the things I was looking forward to. But time got the best of us and we didn't get the chance to use any which really dissapointed me.
