A slumber party
Im working by myself.
I will need modiling clay and my Ipad.
My paln is to make frogs having a tea party.
My projects unique qualities will include tiny cups with tea in them.
Day 1: I filled out planning questions and 10 good ideas. With a good idea of what I wanted to do! (I am very exited for this project!)
Day 2: I got all my props ready and made all the characters for my skit, but didn't relize that it would trun my hands green, so that was fun. Also, I had a little trouble figuring out how I was going to make my magnificent frogs, so I had to go through a lot of rough drafts throuout these frogs, but I finally settled on a design.
Day 3: I took pictures of my story and put them all together on IMovie. It felt like it took forever. I actually felt like I was going to fall asleep. Not only that but I kept hitting my camera! It was so annoying! And I only moved one character at a time, which is also really annoying!
Day 4: I edited the video but then Emma told my that I used the wrong app but it was to late so I just made it using IMovie.
Day 5: I started filling out my reflectiom and got through the magority of it so that was pretty good!
Day 6: I finished my very heart felt reflection, published my site, and turned it in! (I would have done a behind the scenes picture but by the time I thought of it, it was already to late.)
Using modeling clay, my Ipad, and IMovie, I created a stop motion short film based on a frog tea party because I wanted to do something that I really wanted to do. I've always loved stop motion as a kid, so why not take a stroll down memory lane? Plus, I have always loved frogs and tea. So, that's why I created this project!
During this process, I learned that you have to be paitent. I learned this becuase while doing this project I expected it to be a lot quicker, but it took me at least an hour. Which is not what I was hoping for. I didn't relize that you had to take like 20 pictures just to get your characters to one destionation. Just so you know, I am not a very pationt person. Which made this process a lot more difficult.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Computational thinker because I found straigeies and tested solutions. This ties to my project because well working on this project I had some difficulties with making the frogs so I tested all the different ways I could make them while finding stratigies for how I could make them.
A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to take all the pictures while the camera was in the same spot. I was able to do it by doing my best not to hit the camera while moving my characters. Athother sturgle I had was not focasing on one character a a time. I found myself always just moving one character, when to get them to the table I could have moved them at the same time. I overcame this challange by trying to move two characters at the same time. If you couldn't tell, this was quite a challanging project for me.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the story did. The reason why I would change it is because I felt like my plot to my story was a little to basic and I could have made it more interesting. I also had planned for it to be longer, but then I came back the next day and someone squished all my things. If I could have preveted it I could have made my skit a lot better and more exiting, rather then two frogs just sitting there with tea cups in their hands... do frogs have hands?
