Using different robots, I created a new code to make a different word and, shape because I wanted to try out a new object to create new things. Creating these codes made me solve a lot of problems.
During this process, I learned how to overcome a problem when coding my robots. I didn't know how to code the letter "O", so me and my team worked together to make the "O". I also learned that coding is hard work especially learning how to operate the robots.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I overcome challenges. Doing this project showed me how hard coding can be. But by talking and working this out with your team, we finished all the codes successfully.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to write and code the letters in the iRobot. I was able to do it by working with my team and getting some tips from Mr. Renner. Also just being a team helped so we would all work together like a team should and communicate and share ideas.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how the code when I threw the tire with the dash. The reason why I would change it is because the tire didn't go as far as I wanted it to. This was my one of my first codes so it was a little harder to understand being my first time coding a real robot.
