Using Tinkercad and a 3D printer, I created A chicken feeder because I have a chicken with a deformed beak. Another reason I did this is because my family can use it to bond with the newly-hatched chickens. We want to bond with the younger chickens so that they don't attack us.
During this process, I learned it is easier to scale a grid in Tinkercad than I thought. I learned this by scaling the grid multiple times until I found the right size. I also learned that it is actually quite hard to design a tray with the scribble tool.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge constructor because I had to use my prior knowledge and experience with 3D to create a 3 inch by 3 inch chicken feeder.
A challenge I overcame on this project was designing the tray. I was able to do it by using the scribble tool. I also used cylinders to create the tray.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the tray's design. The reason why I would change it is because it was way too time-consuming.

Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working by myself
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need filament, a 3D printer, and Tinkercad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
my plan is to create a feeder for my chicken
What unique qualities will your project have?
Feeds a chicken with a deformed beak
Day 1: made my list of 25, answered the planning questions, and started my project
Day 2: Worked on the shape of my feeder
Day 3: worked more on my feeder, adding the food dish at the bottom
Day 6: added to the design
Day 7: added a sign with the chicken's name
Day 8: worked on the sign
