Planning Questions:
I'm working by myself on this project.
I will need tinkercad, my computer, and the printing machine.
My plan is to make a more complicated thing because I have prior knowledge from the printer.
A unique quality my project will have is I'm doing it myself, so it came from me.
Using tinkercad , I created my own skull with a built in plate to lay on. I decided to make a skull because honestly I wanted to use it for some other project but I had to make the project myself. So I took out the drawing tool on tinkercad and drew a pretty detailed skull.
During this process, I learned that your first idea is not always your final product. I had a lot of different ideas and tried all of them but they didn't work. Another thing that was tough was how my skull was not setup right.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because using what I know of a human skull, I drew the skull.
A challenge I overcame on this project was when I thought my skull would print fine but it actually needed something to keep it from floating. I actually had somebody else help me which was amazing. Now I know how to fix that problem when ever tinkercad is needed. I was able to do it by re-trying and re-trying until it finally worked. In this process I also learned how to fix the problem because Mr. Renner gave me a heads up.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of the skull. The reason why I would change it is because it was kinda small and I thought it would turn out bigger. If it was bigger you could see more detail that I put in.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in coding a machine to do something, like in a factory.
This was my first idea actually.
After messing around in tinkercad I created my own skull design.
This is what my final product looked like.
