7P7- 3D Design 

Using a iPad, 3D printer, the website Tinker Cad .  I created desk organizer. I created this because the top of my dresser is always very cluttered so I wanted to make something that would help to declutter it.

During this process, I learned that if you want to make something that is big and 3D print it.  You might want to pick something different. This is because I made a desk organizer but it smaller than my hand. 

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. This is because I made my own design.

A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to group the separate pieces. I was able to do it by asking a friend how to. When I asked my friend she didn't know how to either. So I looked up a tutorial on YouTube. 

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the object I print. The reason why I would change it is because I didn't think about how it would print small. Another reason is my project is to small for anything to fit. 

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in medical and dental careers.
