A garage door

It will open
We did our planning questions, List of 10 Good Ideas, and picked out what cardboard we wanted.
We started to build our gears, for the garage and started building the box.
We continued making gears.
We finished making gears, now we have 11.
We started assembling our garage.
We had to start over on the assembly, because the gears didn't fit right, we got the whole thing finished.
Using An iPad, Hot glue, hot glue gun, duct tape, and cardboard, I created I garage door that opens because I thought it would be a challenge to get all the gears to line up and work. We made gears and put them in a box and connected that to a string. The string is what opened and closed the door.
During this process, I learned I leaned that things don't always go as planned. For example, The first time we assembled it, the gears didn't fit right so we had to start over. We had to make all new gears!
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer. I was a innovative designer because we created a cardboard garage that was are idea and we didn't take someone else idea.
A challenge I overcame on this project was the gears didn't fit right. I was able to do it by making some new gears. These fit in the teeth of the other gears while the first set didn't.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change Make some gears, then make sure they fit before we make like 20. The reason why I would change it is because we had to start over. Which took a long time and we didn't end up having enough time and we had to do some of the work at home.
