Using Adafruit Circuit Playground, my PC, and an iPad I created a wheel of fortune because they are very cool and I made it make the sound for if you win or if you lose. It turns green if you win and red if you lose. Another thing I made was flashing lights going from pink and purple. That was the first project we made. The last thing I made was clap lights. When you clap it turns very bright white.
During this process, I learned how to ad music to the projects I want sound to. I also learned how to make my wheel lights spin. It turned out really cool.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because I chose the ideas and projects I was doing and added it to my website for everyone to see.
A challenge I overcame on this project was using the codes on Adafruit. I was able to do it by getting help from a friend. In the begging I was confused but then I learned how to code it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the color of my clap lights. I was also change it to when you clap twce it changes different colors. The reason why I would change it is because I think I could of challenged myself more and did more projects or added more to my projects.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Circuit design programming because I designed a circuit playground project by Ada fruit. This is not a career I would be interested in.
