Using tinker cad, and the iMovie app, I created a jewelry box because all of my jewelry like my necklaces always get lost so now I will have a place to put them. I also thought it was the best project out of all of my other ideas.
During this process, I learned how to create 3d designs. I also learned how to use tinker cad. I now can make any 3d designs I need.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global Collaborator because I took everything I made and I put it on my website. It also ties to Digital Citizen because I used my own images.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to move my object. I was able to do it by just testings things out until I eventually. I also had trouble figuring out what I wanted to create but I just picked one and went with it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the shape of my jewelry box. The reason why I would change it is because I would've liked to be a little bit bigger. So I could fit more in it.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. It connects to this because I was the one that engineered my project.
My project connects to careers in Graphic design because they specifically focus on 3d shapes. The average salary for a graphic designer is 36,608 per year.
