Using CoSpaces, I created a virtual world because I wanted to see what it would be like to create and play my own VR world. The VR world I created is, POV life of the roach in my kitchen. Its a world with a and a "maze", the concept is "Trying to escape the human" and it is a fun interactive world.
During this process, I learned how to use a website to code/create a world where I can have fun and run around. In this world my vision was run from someone trying to crush you with additional obstacles. This was mostly created, I really enjoy playing it and others do too.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to global collaborator because everything I've created with this project is shared on my website to the entire world.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the snake to move after the girl. I was able to do it by putting this code after I coded the girl. I wished to make the snake move at the sink after the girl was done moving so if I didn't make it out of the maze, the snake would come after me because the girl would be done.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the layout of the maze and try to connect myself to the motorcycle. The reason why I would change it is because it would add a little more fun and interaction to my VR world. This change doesn't need to be added but it would upgrade it just a little.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. This connects to it because we programmed a website on a computer to play in VR worlds.
My project connects to careers in game creation because I created a VR game with coded objects that move and I can interact with, and that I created using a website to code, animate, and overall create a world for us to play if we want to.
