Day 1

We created our names on a Micro Bit.
We Learned how to put messages from a coding website to a Micro Bit.

Day 2

I put some new messages on my micro chip.
I tested out programming.

Day 3

We attempted more coding to figure out the website
I got my name on the bit.

Day 4

I got more on the bit
We did more practice and started sounds

Day 5

I did more testing with sounds
We did more coding and I got a heart

Day 6

I got some sounds and got to play music
I coded a song but didn't have time to record

Day 7

I got a smiley face generator which just shows a bunch of faces
Got more code photos

Day 8

I got a rock paper scissors game.
Got a video of all my stuuf and photos

Day 9

Day 10

We are filling out our sentence starters and putting them into Chat gpt
We are using Ai to write reflections on our bullet points

Using a micro bit, I created different light up creations because I wanted to know what it was like to code and engineer my own micro bit.
During this process, I learned coding is very hard to figure out.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to computational thinker because we had to write our codes correctly right down to every number.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting some codes to be able to get onto the bit. I was able to do it by some codes were not "compatible" so we had to double check and confirm it was right or it would show a error code.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how many codes I did/ made. The reason why I would change it is because I only made 4-5 codes because I was gone and I believe I could've done better. I also forgot to save my first codes when I was testing it out and those could've been good enough to add to my final grade.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the computer programming. CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in Software Engineer because focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet user needs.
