Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working in a team.
What materials will you need for your project?
Clay, an iPad, a computer.
What is your plan to create in this project?
We will take pictures of clay people fishing and a guy getting pulled out of the boat, and turn it into a stop motion video.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It will be the only one with my ideas. (At least, I think so.)
We made our planning questions and daily log, and we came up with our idea of what we're doing.
We made our clay characters and boat.
We started taking pictures.
We made more clay characters and continued taking pictures.
We took more pictures.
We took more pictures.
We took more pictures and made more clay characters.
We took more pictures.
We finished taking pictures.
We tried to upload our pictures to imovie.
We finally uploaded our pictures and I finished my website.
Using clay, an iPad, and iMovie, I created a stop motion video about a man eating fish because it started at a video of two people fishing, then the first got got eaten and I had an inspiration.
During this process, I learned how to perfect little clay people, and how to make a stop motion video.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer, because I designed all the clay characters and boats.
A challenge I overcame on this project was accidently taking individual pictures instead of using the stop motion app. I was able to do it by scrolling through the pictures and taking a video of it from a separate iPad.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change that I took all the photos individually. The reason why I would change it is because it took a lot of work and wasted days to fix it, and it couldn't looked better if it hadn't happened.
