7P3 Micro Bit

The projects I made were making the micro bit say my name and making it do different signs and say "Have a good day :)!"

Using a micro bit, chrome book, microbit.org, and a cord to connect the micro bit to the chrome book, I created two projects one saying my name and one for fun because I fist needed it to say my name for this project and then I wanted to kind of play around with the coding so I made it do a diamond, heart, smiley face, and say "Have a great day:)!". During this process, I learned how to code and how to use a micro bit. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative designer because I used many different types of technology with a design process to create this project. A challenge I overcame on this project was having the same coding on the different micro bits I had to use. I was able to try it by making sure the code was downloaded on my chrome book. Given a chance to do this again, I would change some of my coding. The reason why I would change it is because I could do a lot more and make it a little more cooler and advanced. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programing CTE program at Hastings High School because I used my computer to program/ code my micro bit. My project connects to careers in coding because I had to use coding to make my name and the different signs.
