Using cardboard I created a ball pit with a basketball hoop because everyone in the group who created this project likes basketball and we decided to do this. During this process I learned how to create amazing, fun things with cardboard and tape and scissors. The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because me and and my group worked together to make this original project. A challenge I overcame on this project was using the tape because it kept getting stuck together. It was also hard to use the scissors. I was able to try it by the help of others. Given a chance to do this again, I would change the way it looks and how it was made. The reason why I would change it is because it would look nicer and maybe work better. Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in architecture because we made something with tools and our hands.
