Reflection
Using a computer, monitor, and microbit, I created designs, games, art works, and interactable projects that light up to show a general idea on what the microbit is showing and or doing it is a screen with 20 plus LEDS which make moving lights and video like images, with multiple ways that the leds lights ca flash and move. Because I made these ideas and works on my microbit as i find working on computer fun and a good learning activity to improve my intelligent.
During this process, I learned that how to code. I was able to learn this so quick because every little project I worked on it show a vidoe that would show how to make it. Soming else I learned was how to use the mircrobit with the A and B buttons.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor, because went into this project knowing nothing about coding with a micro bit. Then, I used the stuff online that other people had made and how they did it to make my own unique stuff with my micro bit. My project also ties to Global Collaborator, because I share my stuff with people all over the world, and I got my ideas from people that just aren't from the people in the classroom.
A challenge I overcame on this project was taking screenshot of my code to be able to put it in my website. Also related to that I also overcame getting the screenshots into my computers drive .I was able to over come this by using my peers around the room brain storming together and using our resources to eventually figure out how to take the screenshot which lead us to then being able to put it into a file folder letting me put it into my website.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my coding soft ware from blocks to real code like python. The reason why I would change it is because i want to progress and learn new ways to code and how hard it might be doing different coding methods. Also so i can be able to code both ways instead of just the block coding.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the _computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in game design, and computer software analyst.
