Daily Log:
Day 1, and day 2 I was not here so I started day 3
Day 3. My group worked on the Sphero Mini and took pictures and videos of it.
Day 4. Finished the Sphero Mini with pictures and videos.
Day 5. Started doing the Dash robot as are second project.
Day 6. With the Lego's we made a ramp so the tire would fall off.
Day 7. Finally got the Dash robot to go drop off the tire and go over the blue line and then we finished that project and took pictures and videos.
Day 8. For are last project we did the iRobot and did the codes and spelled out a four letter word and took pictures and videos.
Day 9. I uploaded all the pictures and video to my website and did some finishing touches to my website.
10. I started my reflection and just kind of looked over my website to make sure it was good.
List of 10 Good ideas:
A three letter word
Make a square
Make a four letter word
Make a rectangle
With the Legos make a ramp so the tire can get off the Dash robot
Make Sphero mini light up when moving
Make a star
Have the iRobot do hard letters
Make Bolt have a big celebration
Have iRobot do a harder word
Using my tablet and other apps the program my robots, I created with the Sphero Play app, two shapes with the Sphero Mini, with the iRobot and the iRobot Coding app I made a four letter word, and with the Dash robot I made with Lego's a ramp so the tire could drop it off easier and made the robot also go over the blue line, because I wanted to see how many shapes I could do with the Sphero Mini, with the Dash robot I wanted to see if I could make the robot drop the tire and make it go over the blue line, and with the iRobot I wanted to see if I was able to make a four or three letter.
During this process, I learned how to code the iRobot with the iRobot Coding app, how to code Dash robot with the Go app, and code the Sphero Mini with the Sphero Play app. I also learned how to make a four letter word with the iRobot, learned how to make two shape with the Sphero Mini, and learned how to make the tire fall off with the Lego ramp I made and Dash robot go over the blue line.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to "Knowledge Constructor" because I use a variety of resources using a digital tool to construct knowledge such as the apps I used and my tablet to use the apps.
A challenge I overcame on this project was being able to code all my projects and make sure they work. I was able to do it by asking for help when I didn't know how to code a robot and kept redoing codes if they didn't work the first time.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the shapes I did with the Sphero Mini, and change the four letter word I did with the iRobot. The reason why I would change it is because I could have done better shapes for my Sphero Mini because mine were kid of basic and could have done a better word for the iRobot because I with we could have done better.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the "Engineering Design" CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in "Robotics Engineer for Global Consumer Device Company" because I could be able to assemble something.
