first micro:bit made as a name tag like thing that scrolls your name across itself.
I made the second program to be a dice that activates when you shake it.
i tried to make a radio version of rock, paper, scissors
I continued work on it to try and find out what i was doing wrong with the game
I paused work on the rock paper scissors and worked on trying some other stuff.
i made a game where you need to get as close to zero as possible (code will show how to play the game)
i started work on a radio that sends morse code instead of words to your friends
i finish the work on the morse code radio and can radio others with it
i started making a code that will help in teaching you morse code
i finished the first lesson in the morse code learner making it know when your wrong
Reflection
Using a micro bit, I created coding on it to do various things(radio people, teach people, play games) because i thought it would be a fun experience and wanted to try to make these codes.
During this process, I learned radio codes are not that fun to make, but can be really fun to mess with friends.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner, (making the goal of a code i want to make and sticking with it to the end) Digital Citizen, (keeping it safe and responsible for everyone and avoid harmful things directed toward someone) Knowledge Constructor, (being able to use find the info i need to make a code and complete it) Innovative Designer, (finding the problem in my code and finding a way to fix it) Computational Thinker, (finding solutions to a problem on the project and show them the most important part of it) Creative Communicator, (keeping this safe and suitable for all ages) Global Collaborator, (using this to solve global or local problems) because these are required to make a good project.
A challenge I overcame on this project was staying on task to make the code and figuring out the problem in the coding. I was able to do it by looking through the code to see the bug.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the time I spent on the projects. The reason why I would change it is because I would most likely need more time to create more projects and some refinements on the others as well.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in programming because you need to program a code to a micro bit in order to complete the project.
