8p6- Laser cutter

Using the Laser cutter and the EASEL software, I created a sign for my bedroom because wanted to learn how to use a laser cutter.

During this process, I learned what software I am supposed to use for the Laser cutter and I learned how to turn on the Laser cutter and how to stat it.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner and Knowledge Constructor because I had to learn about the Laser cutter and I had to use my Knowledge to Construct and create my sign.

A challenge I overcame on this project was finding the right EASEL software to use. I was able to do it by asking a friend for help.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change what my sign is about. The reason why I would change it is because I would want to make a different sign.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Construction Trades in the CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to careers in Carpenter.
