I want to create an obstacle course for my robot.
What unique qualities will your project have?
My project will have an awesome obstacle course for the robot that I chose to use.
Using my iPad and a robot named dot, I created a video of me programming the robot because I wanted to learn more about programming robots.
During this process, I learned how to program dot who is a robot.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because I was learning more on how to program a robot.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to make the video. I was able to do it by asking one of my classmates to help me.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what the robot is doing. The reason why I would change it is because inside of just programming him to just roll around, I could have made the robot do an obstacle course.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming in the CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Software developer (SQL).
