Here is a short video about Chloe and Anderson playing our cardboard game. As you can see how we would move the balls to the holes, is to set the balls in a clip and then fling the balls to the other side. The balls are meant to fall into the holes with the blue tape over the sides. The large piece of cardboard in the back of the game is meant to keep the tin balls from going out of the game and rolling away. This game was made all by Chloe as well. Chloe was the only one responsible for this small add on. We all helped out a little bit on this add on because we only expected to do only one project and nothing else. We finished this and now we really are glad we did it now, because it really added on with what we were doing.
This was our commercial that we did for our projects. I will admit, It didn't turn out as I had expected it to. One thing I really liked about this commercial, was the edits. I am really glad we had these edits for our project. I feel like the video would have not been very good without he edits. I also like how calm and simple the commercial was. It wasn't too crazy and too exciting and that is one of the things we had been looking for. One of the things I didn't really like about this project was how we forgot to add an actually skit. That was an important detail that was needed to be added and we missed it. I also didn't really like that there were more edits than an actual video. I kind of wished that there were more of speech lines than just edits. But this project was pretty easy to do.
Here is Chloe with her small game project. As you can see, this project was relatively easy and didn't take too long to do. If you look closely you can see there is a small paper clip at the front of this game. The paper clip is there because that is where the foil balls would go and you'd then fling the ball hoping that they would go into one of the square holes. When the balls fall into the hole, the box needs to be lifted up and set to the side. There is a large piece of cardboard on the back of the box. That is there to keep the balls inside the box at all times.
Using a tablet, a camera, and a video editing app, I created a commercial that was funny because I like funny commercials that make us laugh and make us happy for a day.
During this process, I learned that there is a lot of steps to making a commercial in terms of editing it and actually touching it up .
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered learner because while making this commercial I found out that there are a lot of problems that may have occurred but I had to find other ways to overcome that challenge. A challenge I overcame on this project was trying to get the editing process to work . I was able to do it by going step by step and slowly experimenting for the best result possible.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how there wasn't a skit that we talked off of. The reason why I would change it is because we only did edits and had no actual speaking parts .
