We made Minecraft iron Armour using Tape, Tin foil, cardboard, and scissors. This wasn't easy to make at all, and we all feel like there could have been more added to it. we also feel like we could have worked better and more hard at it. We could have used more sturdy materials, like hot glue or duck tape. We also could have put more thought into what we made like, with the big piece of cardboard for the chest plate it could have used more engineering thoughts into it. but aside from the problems. there where good events that occurred. such as how with the boots we couldn't quite get them to work very well, but we found out a way to make them stay on our feet. We where also able to make the weapon works properly by sharpening the edges.
In this picture, I am wearing the armor with my mask on. If you look closely at the shoulder plate you can see that the piece is starting to fall off. The tape is starting to become weak and peeling off. The chest plate is the easiest to hold up considering it is being held up by my shoulders and is around my torso. The shoes could also be a work in process as well. One of the shoes was not the same box type as the other so we had to improvise, However the other box that went above my ankle was not a very good improvement. The box had been too small to put on my whole foot so we had to cut out a small piece at the end for my foot to stick. One good thing about this is that it was easy to make and wasn't really all that hard.
This is a picture of Chloe holding her other project for our group. The small project that she has in this picture is a game. The game took about the same time that the armor did and was more successful. The game is meant to be about taking an ball and flicking it into the the separate holes and getting a different point range. The cardboard on at the back is to keep the small balls inside. One thing I really liked about this project is the fact that it was really creative. I could play the game it would see that there is a different concept to the game. One thing I would change about this is the fact that you had to lift the game to get the small balls.
This is a small picture of me and my group. I over all really liked this group and they were very fun to do this project with. One thing I really like about my group was how we all had certain task that we were assigned to do. I also liked how we all were able to think of something and stick to it. One thing I didn't like about our group was how a lot of us had thought of an Idea but we didn't really listen to each other aw whole lot so we ended up having two connected projects. Other than that, I loved my group and really hope I can be with them again.
Using cardboard, scissors, and tape, I created Minecraft armor because I really like Minecraft and the armor inside it.
During this process, I learned we should always be listening to our teammates and the idea's they have.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Design because this project is meant to be a listening one, It also is meant to have issues during the process of it and we are meant to find other solutions to solve it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making the design work properly _. I was able to do it by experimenting on the project and getting feedback from what that experiment did .
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design of the armor and the way it was put on. The reason why I would change it is because, the design seemed a little goofy and not very smart do to, the armor would basically fall off of our shoulders and the boots would slip off of our feet when we take a step.
