for the start I was working alone but then I started working with a friend
What materials will you need for your project?
screw drivers, IPad, and things to take apart.
What is your plan to create in this project?
to take apart a Chromebook then a PC then a printer.
What unique qualities will your project have?
I started taking apart the chrombook that was already missing some things.
I continued taking apart the chromebook but some screws wouldn't come out.
I still couldn't get the screws out so most of that time I just took apart the screen.
I got the screws out by getting a bigger screw driver.
I finished the Chromebook then I started on the pc
I finished the pc with the help of collin K then we started a printer but didn't finish it in time.
Using The tools provided to me, such as screwdrivers and things to take apart, I have not created but taken apart a printer, PC tower, and a Chromebook. I did this because of these reasons. Reason one is the Chromebook was the first part of the project before I could move on to the PC and Printer. I took apart the PC because I wanted to know what it was like on the inside of one. I took apart the printer because that was something I ended up being curious about.
During this process, I learned these things. The first thing I learned was what the parts of a PC were and where they went. The second thing was that the ink in a printer was dry ink and not the ink you would be able to find in pens. Those were two things I learned while doing this project.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to creative communicator because of this reason. The reason is that throughout the project I had to communicate with my partner while taking apart the printer so we know how to fix problems that were stopping us from finishing. That is a reason why I believe my project ties to Creative Communicator.
A challenge I overcame on this project was unscrewing some of the screws that were stuck. I was able to do it by asking around for help around. That was how I overcame the problem
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the fact that I didn't finish taking apart the printer The reason why I would change it is because I would of liked being able to see how it works. Another reason I would change it is because I barely got any of it taken apart.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the Engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School. I chose that because it includes putting things together and maybe taking things apart.
My project connects to careers in tech repair because to repair sometimes you will have to take apart the device.
