This is my partner, Nevaeh, using the makey makey to play Subway Surfers.
These are pictures of the makey makey connected to the computer and the play-doh. As you can see, we are using the makey makey to play Subway Surfers.
Planing questions:
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
In a team with Jaden and Nevaeh.
What materials will you need for your project?
Play-Doh, tin foil, and a Makey Makey, and a computer/laptop.
What is your plan to create in this project?
We plan to play Subway Surfers, by touching the play-doh, that is connected to the wires.
What unique qualities will your project have?
That are Play-doh and wires are color coded together.
Using the classes makey makey's, me and my team members, connected wires to play-doh, and played, Subway Surfers and Piano Tiles 2. We did this because we wanted to play a game that no one else was doing.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative Communicator because we were able to use tools to achieve our digital media goals.
A challenge I overcame was that, when I touched to play-doh that was connected to the wires, it did not move the game. Then, I got help from another group and we figured out that we had to connect a wire to the ground of the makey makey. Once we did that, we raped tin foil around are finger, connected the alligator clip to it, and then touched to play-doh. After that the games worked fine.
If our teacher gave us another chance to use the makey makeys, something I would do different, is that I would chosse a different game to play because I want to do a game that not many people have heard about or have played.
