Amusement Park Ride I will be working on this project by
Zoo or Aquarium myself.

Story My plan to create this project is to
Tour of Something Historic have the player snowboard down a
Explanation of an Academic Concept hill while other characters which I
What a Profession Does in a Day have coded do things on
Planetarium snowboards around the player.
Sledding, Snowboarding or Skiing Course The unique qualities my project will
have will be I will be putting in my
own strings of code to make the
characters do things.
Day 1. I started and finished my List of 10.
Day 2. I worked on making a snowboarding course.
Day 3. I added people to my snowboarding course and two other hills.
Day 4. I worked on animating characters to look as if they are snowboarding.
Day 5. I finished coding someone falling off of their snowboard and hitting a snowdrift and started coding a new character.
Day 6. I finished coding the final character and experimented with attaching the camera to a snowboard, it didn't work.
Day 7. I adjusted the walk speed of the player to make it seem more like actual snowboarding. I entered my own world in VR and some of those made by my classmates.
Day 8. I created my video and started my reflection.
Day 9. I finished my reflection.
Using CoSpaces, I created a virtual snowboarding course. I decided on creating a snowboarding course because it is early winter and almost the season for sledding, snowboarding, and skiing. I also created a snowboarding course because I thought I could add coding in using characters that would also snowboard around you.
During this process, I learned how to change walk speeds in CoSpaces. I also learned how to make objects disappear and reappear using CoBlocks. I learned how to run multiple codes at the same time using CoBlocks as well.
My project ties to Empowered Learner because I was able to set goals of how much I wanted to get done in my virtual world each day and reflect upon whether I accomplished those goals or not. My project also ties to Computational thinker because I had to put my codes in certain orders and arrangements for them to work in the way I intended them to. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor as well because I already had some knowledge of code from previous projects and elementary school and was able to apply the things I learned there to this project but I was also able to build upon that knowledge.
I challenge I overcame in this project was one of snowboards flying up when I tried to make it go downward. I needed to overcome this challenge because I could of course simply remove the move down code but that means the snowboard would still hover above the hill and that would not look very professional. I overcame this challenge by realize that the object I used for the snowboards was an upside-down ellipsoid half, that meant that its controls were inverted so to make it go down, the code would have to say it was going up.
Given a chance to do this project again I would change how many pictures I took during the process of making my virtual world. I forgot to take any pictures during the actual process of making of the virtual world. I would change this because it would be nice to have pictures of the VR world before it was fully built as a part of my Daily Log pictures.
My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE at Hastings High School. It connects to that CTE in that I came up with the idea for a virtual world and was able to create a virtual representation of that. My project connects to careers in Amazon Virtual Reality Graphics Engineer, User Interface Designer, and Design Engineer.
