Day 1. Mr. Renner showed us how to use IMovie, teaching us the basic features such as how to put in pictures and add sound effects.
Day 2. I received my photos and put them into a video, the pictures I added were of my dogs, my cats and my guinea pigs, and Mr. Renner showed us how to record audio and put it into a video. He also showed us how to add a soundtrack.
Day 3. I added titles to my video, labeling my pets names and their species.
Day 4. I added a soundtrack, sound effects, and a voice recording to my video.
Day 5. I added a few finishing touches to my video like looking over the transitions, and played the video back a couple times to look over it. I then saved the video to my google drive.
Day 6. I worked on my reflection.
Using an IPad, IMovie, and the internet, I created a video about my pets and their personalities because I like my pets and I wanted to share about them in a video. I like them because they a fun to play with. I like that they like to be pet. I also like that they are usually not aggressive.
During this process I learned how to put an audio overlay over a video. I learned how to put sound effects over a video. I learned how to put a non-copyright soundtrack over a video.
My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I already knew how to record audio but I had to learn how to overlay that on a video and add sound effects. My project ties to Computational Thinker because I had to put the images and audios into IMovie in the sequenced order of images first, titles second, Sound and audio third. This project also ties to Empowered Learner in that I had to set up goals for myself on how to create the project, such as adding titles and audio and assessing if I reached those goals.
A challenge I overcame in this project was losing my titles by accidentally moving them off screen. I first tried to add a new title but that doesn't work on IMovie so I needed to get the titles back. I overcame it by asking about them and moving them back into frame.
If I had a chance to do this projects again I would change the length of my pictures. I would have done this so I had more time to talk about each pet and made the pictures of the two pets that are the same animal shorter because I had extra time on those. I feel this would have been beneficial to the project because it would have made the video seem more official.
My project connects to Digital Multimedia. It connects to careers in Editing, Jr Media Buyer, and CB Digital Product Designer. It connects to those because it had to deal with editing and that is a requirement of those jobs.
