Quentine, David, Peightyn, and I made a project using the Dash robot. We made the Dash go forward, backwards, turn on and off the lights and follow a set track. We coded the dash to do all of it through a iPad.I learned how to make the drone flash the lights and make sound at the same time while moving. We made the drone flash red and blue and make siren noises to imitate a cop car. The Dash also was moving around the room.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My projects standards were tied to Empowered Learner because I got to choose the project that I got to do. Second, my project was also tied to Global Collaborator because I had to think to make the codes. Finally, we used Innovative Designer because we had to use the iPads to make the codes and then make the drone do we we put in the code.
A challenge we had to overcome was trying to connect our drone to the iPad to the Dash because the iPad wasn't working properly. We kept trying to connect the iPad to the drone and it wasn't showing up. We fixed this problem by resetting the iPad and turning the drone off for awhile and it eventually showed up.
\Given the chance to do this again I would wanna do a smaller group because with one dash robot its hard to do it with four people. I would wanna change this because there is not a lot of things four people can do because it only takes like two people to make a code. That is the reason I would wanna change the group size it I was given the chance.
A connection this project has to a carrier is the Programming, Robot Programming, Agriculture, Cinematography, and Photography. If you want to be a game designer or something like that, we had to makes codes and test them out.
