Planning Questions
Are you working by yourself or in a team?
By myself
What materials will you need for your project?
Micro:bit, computer, my hands
What is your plan to create in this project?
A really cool game
What unique qualities will your project have?
A cool game design. probably.
I watched tutorials on how to work the Micro:bit, and started messing around with it.
I added the links to the website, and video to our websites.
I worked on making a game.
I worked on it more. (basically the Micro;bit version of a Tamagochi)
I began to add more features and things to do.
I finished up the code.
Using the Micro:bit, I created an interactive game because I wanted to see what I could create using it.
During this process, I learned how to code a Micro;bit and create images and games.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor because I had to search up tutorials and search out information to be able to code the Micro;bit.
A challenge I overcame on this project was not understanding complex codes. I was able to do it by asking, searching and looking up the information.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the game I decided to create. The reason why I would change it is because I want to see how far I can push myself and what else I could create.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in coding, and game creating becauseI was able to create a game using codes and a website.
