• Using my computer and circuit playground. I created light shows, clap light, and a light detector. Because this is my first time having innovation and design as a class and I wanted to try more then one thing on this project. I made a light show because I love bright, vibrant colors, and I made a clap light because I wanted to test out my circuits sensors. I made a lie detector because I thought it would be a good challenge to my coding abilities.

• During this process, I learned how to turn lights on when I clapped and how to make different patterns with coding. I was able to learn this by trying new ways to code, and asking my classmates questions. Learning these new things was very fun because I have never used a circuit playground before.

• The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Leader because I set learning goals for example I new I wanted to make a light show a lie detector, a light show, and a clap light, and I made the goal to finish a project every 2 days. Empowered leaders also make strategizes and I did different strategizes while I was coding.

• A challenge I overcame on this project was making one light brighter and one light darker. I was able to do it by making two different codes. One of the codes I choose a color and set the light for 255. The other code I made was I would pick a different color and set the light to 155. This worked because when I pushed button 1 the bright light came on and when I pushed button 2 the less bright came on.

• Given a chance to do this again, I would change How long the light shows were. The reason why I would change it is because there were a lot of different colors and if I made them longer they all could have been in it. If it was longer I could've also made more patterns in it. If the light show was longer I think it would have been more fun to watch and more impressive.

• Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School.  This is what it connects too because I used programming/ coding for my project.

• My project connects to careers in Computer Programming because I programed my circuit playground to do whatever I what it to do. I programed it to make a light show. I programed it to make a lie detector. I also programed it to make a clap light.
