Using cardboard, hot glue, and tape, I created a custom car because I and my partners like cars.
During this process, I learned that making a car out of cardboard is harder than it sounds.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Creative and Innovative Designer, because it took some thinking about how to design it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was successfully making the engine. I was able to do it by surfing the web and looking at engines and how they are put together.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how the wheels are. The reason why I would change it is because they did not move.

My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in Engineering and Designing cars and engines.
