5. Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working with a tam of four.
6. What materials will you need for your project?
3D-print and tech decks.
7. What is your plan to create in this project?
Making a 3d-printed tech deck skate park.
8. What unique qualities will your project have?
We are using 3d-printer and tech decks.
This is one of the first 3d-prints we made for our project.
On the left is our first video we have so far from our 3D-prints.
On the right is Brycens first 3D-print.
Here are first 3D-prints. He has created a drop in bowl and the half pipe.
Here is Keegan's first 3D-print. He has created the quarter pipe.
Using tinker cad and tech decks, I created a 3d-printed skate park for tech decks because tech decks are becoming more popular and people want some thing to do with them instead of them playing with them on the school desks.
During this process, I learned how to edit and measure the right lengths so that the 3d-print would be bigger so it didn't print a smaller project.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because we had to figure out what we were going to work on and put in the skate park.
A challenge I overcame on this project was finding ways to reduce the amount of filament . I was able to do it by asking Mr. Renner for help and looking at different angles so that I wouldn't use to much.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size of the skate park and I would change the why we designed each part of the park. The reason why I would change it is because all of the pieces were small and barely fit the tech decks and I would change the design.
