Using cardboard, tape, scissors and hot glue, my group created a type of ski ball because its an easy game to play and its a fun game.
During this process, I learned how to work together with other classmates to make a cardboard project.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer, because this can get me into an V.R.
A challenge I overcame on this project was thinking of what project to do and getting all of the pieces to fit in the right places. I was able to do it by talking to my classmates about what to do and how to make it all fit.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the materials, how big it is. The reason why I would change it is because cardboard doesn't hold together very well so of we had better materials in would hold better.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. Here is the backboard to the ski ball track. It has a bucket on the back so when the ball goes in it catches the ball so it doesn't send the ball flying every where.
On the left is the under side of our project. There are little pegs to hold the whole the piece of cardboard.
On the right is the top side where you roll the balls down the track to make it into the holes in the backboard.
Here is the colored version of the backboard so that it would look appealing to more people.
