I am working with a team of four.
We will need Legos, 2 robots and a Lego person.
Our plan is to code two robots to knock of the other persons character.
Our project will have fighting robots and Legos.
Lego person cannot be covered.
Arms cannot be longer than a foot.
You only have one life.
If your robot falls over you have 10 seconds to flip it back over.
Players must be at least five feet from the battle to prevent interferents.
Using go bots, I created battle bots out of Lego's because they are fun to play with and you can do a lot of things with them or code them to move items or just do certain things.
During this process, I learned how to move the robot and take down the enemy and I learned how to do different actions at the same time with the robot as well. .
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator because we has to think of different ways to move the robot, we also had to move the Lego's into the right spot to have it hit the opponent, the we had to work with teammates and figure out ways to take down the opponent.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the Lego's to stay on after the robot got hit many times. I was able to do it by attaching multiple layers of lego's to make it stick down and not break off..
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the design of the robot and the way we built the legos and the structure of the build.. The reason why I would change it is because it was really easy for the opponent to take off the whole build in one hit.
