For my 8P5 project i'm coding in Minecraft.
These two pictures are is my house, programmed by me, and built by my agent.
To the left is my agent which when programmed can build just about anything. To the right is my code for my agent to build a tower.
Using Minecraft Education Edition I created a house with my agent. The reason for me creating a house is because I wanted to learn how to create something with code and I wanted to learn how to use Minecraft. I also wanted to learn how to use an agent.
During this progress I learned a whole lot coming in as a beginner. One of the most blunt things I learned was to press C on the keyboard to get code to pop up. Next on my list was learning how to command my agent to build things which was very difficult until I figured out how to build it in a tutorial.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered learner. This is apparent because I set a goal to learn how to code in minecraft with no background knowledge and I achieved it, now it wasn't very good coding but I still learned how to do it.
A challenge I overcame on this project was learning how to get the code onto my screen. I learned how to code by watching tutorials along with asking people how. Another thing I learned was how to get an agent in which I watched YouTube videos to learn how.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change my code to build a different house. The reason I would do this is because my house right now isn't very good. Another thing I'd change is how high up my house is because I prefer smaller houses.
