Are you working by yourself or in a team?
I am working in a team
What materials will you need for your project?
I will need strawbees and the connector parts
What is your plan to create in this project?
we will create types
What unique qualities will your project have?
I will build the kite from scratch in the way I want to
We looked for ideas and picked strawbees
We got out the strawbees and figured out how to use them
We figured out that we were gonna make kites and started building them
We worked on different frames and found which ones were good
We tied on wax paper for the wings
We tested them today and figured out which ones would fly or not
Using strawbees, I created a kite because I could use the way we designed them in the future.
During this process, I learned How to make a kite with the right balance and aerodynamics.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative designer because I designed a kite the way I wanted to.
A challenge I overcame on this project was my kite ripping. I was able to do it by retying different paper to it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change How I designed my kite. The reason why I would change it is because It ripped and kept flying backwards.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, and Marketing. My project connects to the engineering design CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in flight engineer because I designed a kite that could fly.
