IMG_0065.MOVUsing Keva Planks, I created a house, a barn, a pool and yard decoration because Karen wanted to make a barn.
During this process, I learned that blocks can easily fall when their stacked up.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Empowered Learner because we had to be aware of what each other was working on because if someone touched something it might've fallen.
A challenge I overcame on this project was figuring out how to get them to stack and stay. I was able to do it by stacking them and making sure they were straight.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what we made. The reason why I would change it is because we made a bunch of stuff and it was all over the place.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers because we wer working with wood. A job this project relates to is a painter.
