8P2-Laser Cutting

Using A board, a laser cutter, and Tinkercad, I created a personalized sign because my dad wanted a personalized sign and I wanted to use a laser cutter.

During this process, I learned which machine was a laser cutter.

The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties Innovative Designer to because I had tested to see if google drawing would work but it didn't so I went to Tinkercad and it worked.

A challenge I overcame on this project was not knowing what website to use to make the design. I was able to do it by trial and error.

Given a chance to do this again, I would change the first website I used. The reason why I would change it is because I used google drawing and I didn't know I had to do another step of which I didn't know how to afterwards.

Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing.  My project connects to the Engineering Design CTE program at Hastings High School.  My project connects to Engineering Design in the fact that I went to a different website after not knowing what to do on the first website.
