Using a computer, I created 5 different games. I did this because I was told to. It was pretty cool when it was done.
During this process, I learned that it is hard to code something even if it looks simple. I had difficulty on the racing game. I had difficulty because I tried to make it better but it was harder to do that I thought.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Knowledge Constructor. It ties to this because I had to learn how to use code blocks.
A challenge I overcame on this project was coding the race track so if you drove off you restarted. I was able to do it by trying different solutions. It worked and I was able to code it so if you drove off you restarted.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how long I spent on the race track. The reason why I would change it is because it took a long time to do. I would change this by leaving it how it is.

My project connects to the Computer Programming CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in game making because I had to make the games.
