Daily Logs
Daily Log: Day 1 Hello welcome to the first day of using and exploring a Micro: bit. So my initial task was to make the Micro: bit spell out my name. First I had to grab a USB cord a connect the Micro: bit and the computer. Afterwards I had to start with coding. There was not much of coding today but I did manage to make the Micro: bit spell out my name.
This a my name. I coded my name and by the help of the USB code and the Micro: Bit I made this possible
This is the process of coding my name.
Hello welcome back in Spanish.
Daily Log: Day 2 Hola bienvenido de nuevo amigos to the second day of coding. Today I was feeling jovial and decided to code 2 emojis. My 2 favorite emojis are the heart and the smiling face. I did not have to code much. Since it is my 2nd day only I wanted to keep it simple. So I lay hold on a USB cord and attached it to the computer. Finally at the end I down loaded the coding on into the Micro:bit and then checked if everything went alright.

Hey this is the video of the emojis.
welcome back in Indian Hindi.
Daily Log: Day 3
नमस्ते वापस स्वागत है to day 3! Today I went back to exploring more with the Micro:bit I was given. Today I did 2 more projects. These project were a little more complicated than yesterdays. I saw a code of fireflies and got inspired to do my own version. I had more coding today but it was fun adding things. I also wanted to include a project that included numbers on it so I did another project for fun and experience. Each day my projects are going to get more complicated.
My first project of the day. It includes numbers, words, and pictures.
This is the video of my creation.
This is the coding of my version of the fireflies.
Means welcome back in Spanish.
Hello welcome back in Russian.
Daily Log: Day 4
привет с возвращением Today I am going to try to do a harder project. I am going to do attempt to do a rock, paper, scissors. This project had more coding but is was a fun experience to do. I began by getting a USB cord and connecting it to my computer. Then I began to downloaded the coding to the Micro:bit. It worked yes! This had lots of different pictures and it was the first game I created on the Micro:bit so it was a nice change.
This is a video of the coding I did.
This is the coding process.
This is the rock, paper, scissors video. This big box is the paper is the filled in square. The other shape are the scissors.
Means welcome back in French.
Daily Log: Day 5 Bonjour bienvenue to my project. For today's assignment I am going to level up my coding. I started off by trying to code to create a spaceship game. The space ship game required the Micro: bit v2 so I chose to do the another game.I choose to do Floppy bird.
This a part of the process of creating the floppy bird project.
Means welcome back in Arabic.
Daily Log: Day 6 مرحبا بعودتك to my project .I continued to do my work on my floppy bird project. So then I finished a long process of coding I finally ended up grabbing the USB . Then I downloaded the the code to the Micro: bit and checked if everything worked. This project had way more coding than any other project but really appreciated this project because I learned how to try new things and not give up in any situation.
This is the floppy bird coding.

Welcome back in Mandarin Chinese
Daily Log: Day 7
欢迎回来 to my Micro:bit projects. For today I am going to retry to code the space invaders game but code it in a java script. This project included a bit more of coding. So I started to code then I grabbed the USB cord and connected the USB cord to the PC. Then I turned the java script to the blocks. From there I downloaded the code to the micro bit. Finally I recorded a video and took some awesome pictures as you can see down below.
This a bit of the coding for the space invaders game. The coding is in the java script.
This is more of the space invaders `coding.
Means hello welcome back in Italian.
Daily Log: Day 8 Ciao Bentornato as you can I really enjoy coding the games. So today I am going to create a snake game. This game took more time because it had more coding than any of my other projects. After I finished I grabbed the USB cord connected it to the PC. Then I downloaded the code to the Micro:bit.
This is a screenshot of the snake growing game.
This is a video of the growing snake on the computer.
This is another screenshot of the coding for the growing snake game.
Means welcome back in German.
Daily Log: Day 9 Willkommen zurück to the 9th day of creating Micro: bit projects. Since today was my last I wanted to do something simple but something I have not done yet. So I did this radio thing. It was a collaboration project with an other student. The first question we asked is do you like dogs? So we pressed the A button which means yes. The next question that we asked do like onions? So we pressed the A+B which means no.

Paragraphs
Using a PC, a Micro: bit, a computer, and by using the website https://microbit.org/ I created my Micro :bit projects. I constructed the Micro :bit projects because I thought is would be a fantastic way to learn. I was able to learn more about how coding works.
During this process of creating the Micro: bit projects I learned skills like prototyping, coding, and collaborations with an other student. I learned how prototype because It allowed me define easy methods. I learned how to code because it was the easiest way for me to create the picture or game on the Micro: bit. I learned how to collaborate in this project because working together is an easy way to create a challenging project.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Global collaborator and to Empowered learning. My project ties to Global collaborator because every project I code I upload to my website which is shared with the world. My project also ties with Empower learning because a Global Collaborator is an international collaborator looks at complex ideas or problems from different perspective using collaboration tools. They also explore different local global issues and collaborate with people from different backgrounds and cultures. Which I did on my project. My project also includes creative communicator because a Creative Communicator creates digital artifacts to communicate ideas and visually and graphically using the tools available for creation and communication. I did this in my project during the process.
A challenge I overcame on this project is first learning how to code and then learning to how to code the java script for a project. I was able to over come the challenge of coding by watching tutorials by the website https://microbit.org/. I was able to overcome the challenge of coding the java script by first just trying out and learning from by mistakes.
If I had the opportunity to retry this project I would create more projects and do more collaboration projects. The reason I would change my opinion of creating more projects is because I would learn how to create more projects and it would add excitement to my website. The reason I would change my opinion of creating more collaboration projects is working with another person is always fun and I would get to know their point of view.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Business Management and the Computer Programming at the CTE program at Hastings High School. My project connects to careers in the business area and in the computer programming. My project ties to the business area because you could code a game the you could charge people to play the game so you could make money. You could also be a company that only create coding games. My project also ties to to computer programming because coding is a piece of programming that handles with creating a code with a machine then translating it.
