For my stop motion project, I used Legos to make a story about a bank robbery. I built a Lego bank and made Lego people to be the robbers and the police. Then, I took a lot of pictures while moving the Lego characters little by little to show the robbery happening and the police chasing the robbers. It took a long time because I had to be careful to make the movements look real. After I finished, I put all the pictures together on the computer to make a video. It was super fun, and I liked making the story with Legos and showing action without talking.
My Lego stop motion project ties to Digital Multimedia because I used different digital tools to bring my story to life. I took pictures of the Lego scenes and used video editing software to put them together and add sounds and music. This helped me learn how to combine images, motion, and audio to create a cool animation. Using digital multimedia made my project more exciting and helped me show the bank robbery story in a fun way without using words. It taught me how technology can be used to make creative stories and share them with others.
One challenge I faced during my Lego stop motion project was staying focused on finishing it. It took a long time and sometimes I got distracted or frustrated. It was hard to keep working on moving the Lego pieces little by little and making sure everything looked right. But I learned that it takes patience and focus to make the story come out good. In the end, I was proud I didn’t give up and finished my project.
One challenge I had with my Lego stop motion project was that I didn’t take enough pictures at first, so some parts didn’t look smooth. Because of that, I had to redo some scenes to make the animation better. It was a lot of work, but it taught me how important it is to be patient and take lots of pictures. If I got a chance to do the project again, I would plan more carefully and take even more pictures from the start to make the story look awesome. I’m excited to try again and make it even better!
