Using Tinkercad, I created a phone holder because I wanted to design something useful that could support a phone without tipping over.
During this process, I learned how important stability and balance are when creating a functional design.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to Innovative Designer because I designed a phone holder that meets its purpose.
A challenge I overcame on this project was making sure the pieces were thick enough and placed correctly. I was able to do it by using the ruler tool to measure and adjust each part.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the size and shape of the phone holder. The reason why I would change it is because the front is a little too heavy, which affects its balance.
