i bought a piece of wood and carved it out
Using easel I created a sign for Father's Day because I thought it would be a good thing to give to my dad.
During this process, I learned the iPad is a very useful tool and that the CNC machine is fun.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to innovative design because I made a design for my dad and I did it by myself.
A challenge I overcame on this project was using the CNC machine because I did not know how to use it. I was able to do it by asking friends and more people how to do it.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change how I made it and I would probably make another one for my sister. The reason why I would change it is because there are s many different choices and I want to make more.
Hastings High School Career and Technical Education Program offers Agriculture, Business Management, Computer Programming, Construction Trades, Culinary Arts, Digital Multimedia, Engineering Design, Finance, Insurance, Marketing. My project connects to the Construction Trades CTE program at Hastings High School.
My project connects to careers in wood carving because I'm making signs for people and using a machine.
