What materials will you need for your project?
A pc, tools, and ipad.
What is your plan to create in this project?
The plan is to disassemble a pc to see how it works and the parts used in it.
What unique qualities will your project have?
It is disassembled without anybody to work on it with.
Day 1
I got the cover off and looked around for what to take off first.
Day 2
Got all the wires unplugged and taken out.
Day 3
Took out the thing above the storage part. I struggled getting the screws out.
Day 4
Got the cd thing out of the pc and removed the cover over it.
i got the fan and storage out.
Got the mother board out and some wires.
I finally got the data thing out which took a lot of time. To figure out how to remove it without damaging a part.
Using tools, I took apart a pc because I wanted to learn the pieces in a pc. Then how to disemble a pc for scraps.
During this process, I learned how to disemble a pc and the parts that are in a pc.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to an empowered learner because I had zero experience disassembling a pc and I figured out what to do with certain tools. Also if a screw got stuck or how to take out the wires in a safe way.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the data out of the pc. I was able to do it by looking through all the tools cases to find the right one to get the screws off.
Given a chance to do this again, I would change the order of how I dissembled the pc. The reason why I would change it is because I took of random screws that didn't need to be taken off which wasted some of my time.
