Using Tinkercad, I created a West Virginia Mountaineers text because I wanted to make something for my stepdad for Christmas. I made this because me and my family lived in West Virginia for 5 years, and me and my family likes the West Virginia football team. I also made this because I don't really get him anything for Christmas.
During this process, I learned how to laser cut. I also learned how to design a laser cut. Another thing I learned how to make the size of the laser cut bigger.
The 7 standards of the class are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Knowledge Constructor, Innovative Designer, Computational Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. My project ties to digital citizen and global collaborator. I am a digital citizen because I use certain technologies to make a laser cut. I am a global collaborator because I have a website for the world to see.
A challenge I overcame on this project was getting the size right. I was able to do it by asking a friend for help. I also over came getting the spacing in-between the letters the right size
Given a chance to do this again, I would change what I design. The reason why I would change it is because I would design something other than words. Another reason is I would want to make something else.
