International Students
Welcome to the United States, and welcome to Hastings, Nebraska! We are excited for you to join our Bronco family! Here at Hastings College, students are our focus. From academics to involvement and engagement outside the classroom, Hastings College is a community where you will explore and grow your strengths, passions, interests, and more! Below are some resources to help you learn more about our college community and help with your international education.
Tips for Getting Involved
Attend the annual Involvement Fair that happens within the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters! This is a time where can meet other students and learn more about the recognized student groups on campus, sign up to be included on emailing lists, and be invited to events!
Run for Student Association (SA) Senate as the International Student Senator! The Student Association Senate is the legislative branch of the Student Association. The SA Senate votes on behalf of the division they are representing with matters such as SA budget approvals and more. SA Senators communicate with their respective constituents, may give oral reports during Senate meetings expressing needs, wants, and updates regarding the division the represent, and help with the set up/tear down of events.Â
Don't be afraid to pursue your interests outside the classroom! Hastings College has so many clubs, organizations, events, and community programs to get involved with. If you can't find something you're interested in, connect with the Student Activities Coordinator (alyssa.roush@hastings.edu) and create something of your own!
On-campus student jobs are another way to get involved and meet new people! Contact Career Services to learn more about jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities you may be eligible for.
