The Psychology major at Hastings College adheres to recommendations for undergraduate education as outlined by the American Psychological Association (APA).

This course is an introduction to methods and concepts useful in analyzing the biological basis of behavior, with a focus on neural structure and function.
This course is an introduction to the field of mental health counseling. Students learn about major theories of counseling, counseling ethics, and practice foundational helping skills. A strong emphasis is placed on skill development with peer practice and observations in the counseling skills lab.
Students in this course examine the impact of technology on their own and others’ lives, and explore the benefits of nature experiences on physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development. Students engage in group projects and will participate in outdoor activities on campus and various off-campus locations.
