Destiny Discover

In case you didn't know, Destiny is our library management system. You can access our collections from anywhere through this link. This gives you access to dozens of free ebooks and great resources.

Recently, Destiny has added a great new feature called Destiny Discover. You can access it through the website or download a free Destiny Discover app to any wifi enabled device. Not only does Destiny Discover show you what our local resources are, it gives you links to useful websites and Open Educational Resources. It is so simple to use. You just do a key word search and all the appropriate resources are shown on one screen. For example, I did a search for President Woodrow Wilson. These were my results:

I have links to books from my library and their status. I get reliable databases to explore and OER to look at all on one page.

One other great feature is access to hundreds free ebooks. If you have the app, you can open up the ebook and then continue reading it even if you are no longer online. You can take notes and highlight information offline as well. Here are just a few books about World War II that are available. I hope you will check out this wonderful tool and encourage your students, too as well.
